MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating after crooks broke into a cell phone store in Berclair.

MPD said officers responded to the burglary about 3:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at the Metro by T Mobile in the 4300 block of Macon Rd. near Waring/Wells Station. They found a glass window broken and a cash register open and on the floor. They said the back door was also wide open.

Investigators said a witness told them they saw two men in a grey four-door sedan in front of the business and looking inside. When the witness drove around, they said they heard the glass break and three shots fired, before the car took off on Warren Rd.

Investigators said they did not find any shell fragments, and the suspects had worn gloves.
