Memphis Police investigating after man shot in South Memphis

MPD officers responded to the shooting just before 3:40 p.m. Thursday near S. Lauderdale and E. Georgia.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating after a man was shot Thursday afternoon in South Memphis.

MPD officers responded to the shooting just before 3:40 p.m. Dec. 14, 2023, near S. Lauderdale and E. Georgia. They found on man shot and he was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

Investigators have not said what led to the shooting or released any information on suspects.

At 3:39 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near S. Lauderdale & E. Georgia. One male victim was located and transported critical to ROH.
