Memphis Police investigating multiple weekend shootings

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There have been multiple separate shootings between Friday night and the end of the weekend in the city of Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Officers said they responded to the 1700 block of Warner Avenue after a shooting. Officers said they found a man who had been shot. This man was transported to critical condition in Regional One, according to MPD. 

Officers said this is an ongoing investigation.

MPD said another shooting took place early Saturday morning in the 800 block of Twinkletown Cove.

Officers said they responded towards 4 a.m. and found a man who had been shot. 

This man was transported to critical condition in Regional One, according to MPD. 

Officers said this is an ongoing investigation.

MPD said another shooting took place about mid-Saturday in the 4300 block of Double Tree Street. Officers said they responded towards 3 p.m. to find a man who had been shot.

He was transported to Regional One in critical condition, according to MPD. This is an ongoing investigation, MPD said.

Memphis Police officers said that a shooting took place in the 800 block of Hawthorne Street where one man was found to be dead on the scene Saturday night.

Two other victims were transported to hospitals in the area, MPD said. One of these victims was placed in critical condition, according to MPD.

Memphis Police said that preliminary information suggests the victims and suspects are known to each other. This is an ongoing investigation, according to MPD.

MPD officers also said they responded towards midnight to the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue regarding a shooting on Saturday night.

Officers said they saw a victim who was a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Regional One in critical condition, according to MPD. 

This is an ongoing investigation, according to MPD.
