Memphis police give more information on suspect in deadly S. Perkins convenience store shooting

One man was sent to Regional One Health in critical condition. He later died due to his injuries.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are looking for a suspect after a shooting on S. Perkins Road in mid-April, and released more details on the deadly shooting, and the person they're looking for Monday. 

Officers responded to the shooting at the 2900 block of S. Perkins Road around 6:39 p.m. on April 17. According MPD, one man was sent to Regional One in critical condition. That victim died in the hospital due to his injuries.

Investigators learned from surveillance video that the man had been with the suspect as well as other unknown people for about an hour prior to the murder. 

MPD said the suspect is described as a Hispanic man, bald or extremely low haircut, possibly goatee and tattoos on his right arm, wearing a white t-shirt and beige pants, armed with a revolver. The suspect was last seen fleeing the area in an older model silver Toyota Sequoia with aftermarket large chrome wheels northbound on S. Perkins Road.

At this time, no arrest has been made, and this is an ongoing investigation.
