MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police said nine people were arrested and charged in a drug and gun bust in the Oakhaven area.
MPD said the Organized Crime Unit (OCU) Drug and VICE teams executed a search warrant Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, in the 3400 block of Metropolitan Circle, just east of Memphis International Airport. Investigators said they found a half-pound of marijuana and eight guns, two of which had been reported stolen. They said four of the handguns had been converted with a Glock switch to make then fully automatic.
MPD said the following people were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver, and sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony (8 counts), prohibited weapon machine gun (4 counts), and theft of property under $2500 (2 counts).

- Jimmy Kent, 38
- Jeremy Henderson, 21 – also had warrant for criminal attempt second degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
- Jovan Jackson, 20
- Isaia Friason, 19 – also has warrant for criminal attempt first degree murder, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
- Kyle McCaster, 18 – also had warrant for especially aggravated robbery and employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony.
- Jaylen Moering, 18
- Bishop Moore, 18
- Christopher Northcross, 18
