Memphis Police looking for suspects after police chase leads to officer-involved crash on Holmes and Airways

Police had said that one suspect was in custody, but later stated the person was determined not to be involved and released without charge.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two suspects are still on the run after police said a person who had been detained was determined not to be involved in a police chase that led to a crash involving an officer on Thursday.

MPD said that around 6 p.m. officers were chasing suspects in a stolen car after they refused to pull over. At Airways and Holmes, police said the stolen car hit a civilian's car, and an officer was involved in a crash.

According to police, the suspects, two men in all black clothing, ran away from the car. 

Police said no injuries from the crashes have been reported at this time. They had said that one suspect was in custody, but later stated the person was determined not to be involved and released without charge.  

The two suspects are still on the run.
