MPD releases video of suspects wanted in deadly shooting in southeast Memphis

MPD said one victim was treated and released, but the other died from his injuries days after the shooting.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have released video of a shooting that killed one man and injured another person Friday.

MPD officers responded to the shooting July 26, 2024, around 7 p.m. in the 3500 block of Durrand Dr. where they found two people shot. Both were taken to the hospital in critical condition. One was released, but the other died from his injuries on Monday, July 29.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred on Winchester and Goodlett. Video showed a black four-door Infiniti sedan pull up next to a white car, when a suspect jumps out of the passenger side and fires several times at the victims' vehicle.

The suspects took off eastbound on Winchester.

Two victims were located and transported to the hospital in critical condition. The investigation determined the shooting occurred at Winchester Road and Goodlett Road. One of the victims has been released from the hospital. The adult male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on July 29, 2024. Video in the area showed a suspect get out of the passenger side of a black four-door Infiniti sedan and shoot at the victim’s vehicle several times as it turned eastbound on Winchester Road.
