MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 16-year-old has been arrested in an Easter Sunday deadly shooting in Westwood.
Memphis Police confirmed Palmer Chandler Davis is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting the afternoon of April 9, 2023. He was arrested Oct. 17, and is being held in the Shelby County Jail without bond.
MPD officers responded to the shooting at the Royal King store in the 850 block of W. Raines Rd. about 1:20 p.m. Easter Sunday. They found a man shot inside the store, and he died from his injuries.
Investigators released surveillance video from the scene which showed three male suspects trying to carjack the victim, then shooting him.
Police said the suspects got into a tan four-door sedan with passenger side damage and took off on Westmount Rd.
An affidavit is not yet available for Davis in the case.
