$150,000 reward offered in weekend robbery of USPS mail carrier in Memphis

The robbery happened about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the 600 block of Granada Rd. near Tulane Rd. in Whitehaven.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects who they said robbed a mail carrier.

The robbery happened about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the 600 block of Granada Rd. near Tulane Rd. in Whitehaven. Investigators said the carrier was robbed while on his route by two males. He was not injured.

The USPIS released surveillance video showing one of the two suspects walking across a yard shortly after the robbery. They said the suspect’s wine or burgundy-colored four-door sedan is believed to be the one seen in the video.

The suspect is in his mid-20s, about 6’1” tall and 140 to 150 lbs. He was wearing a black hoodie, black face mask, and black pants.

Robbing a federal employee is a federal offense, and if convicted, the suspects could face up to 10 years in prison.
