MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis Police Department (MPD) car was hit by a driver going down I-240 East at Perkins Rd. on the morning of Sept. 15, 2024, according to an MPD crash report.
A woman driving eastbound down I-240 slammed into the side of a marked Memphis Police car as it was blocking the road while responding to another accident at around 6:40 a.m., according to MPD. Both the driver and officer suffered minor injuries and were taken to St. Francis Hospital.
The woman driving the vehicle has been charged with driving without a license, reckless driving, due care, and driving under the influence.
MPD has given no further details on this incident.
