MPD launches search after mail carrier is robbed on Woodlake Dr.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department (MPD) is looking for a man who robbed a United States Postal Service (USPS) mail carrier on the 6900 block of Woodlake Drive during the morning of Oct. 4, 2024.

The robbery took place inside the park at New Castle Apartments. While the suspect had a gun at the time, the carrier was not hurt during the incident, according to MPD.

USPS is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect. He is described as a Black male in his late teens to early 20’s, standing at around 5’10”, weighing around 190 lbs. with a dark brown complexion. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, a black face mask, black gloves and black shoes and was seen occupying a later model black Nissan Altima, according to the reward poster.
