MPD investigating shooting Friday night near Alcy-Ball area

MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis Police are searching for answers after a shooting Friday night near the Alcy-Ball area.

MPD officers responded to the shooting just before 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, in the 2400 block of West Hillview Dr., near E Alcy Rd. They found a man shot, and he was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

Investigators have not said what led to the shooting or released any information on suspects.
