MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three people are on the run after hitting a police car early Wednesday morning in Downtown Memphis during a burglary investigation.
Memphis Police responded to the crash Nov. 13 around 3:30 a.m. at Greenlaw Avenue and North 2nd Street.
Investigators said a Memphis police officer had driven to the area to respond to a burglary call. After parking, a black car in an alley backed up and hit the police cruiser before speeding south.
Another car in the alley then also backed into the driver's side of the MPD car. Two people left the car and ran away.
The suspects were not caught, but investigators learned the second vehicle had been stolen.
No injuries were reported.
