Two dead after apparent murder-suicide in Munford, Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police in Munford, Tennessee, said two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide early Wednesday morning.

Munford Police officers responded to a distress call just before 3 a.m. Oct. 23, 2024, in the 100 block of Littleton Way. They found two people dead inside the home.

Investigators said it appears it began as a domestic incident that led to a murder-suicide. They have not released the names of the victims.

Police said there is not an ongoing threat to the public and it appears to be isolated.

“Our thoughts are with the families affected by this heartbreaking event,” said Munford Police Chief Randal Baskin. “We are doing everything possible to understand the circumstances that led to this tragedy.”
