One detained after man found shot to death Tuesday morning

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police said one person was detained after a deadly shooting Tuesday morning.

MPD officers responded to the shooting in the 1500 block of Prescott Rd. near Harris Ave. about 5 a.m. March 14, 2023. They found a man dead at the scene.

Investigators have not said what led to the shooting or released information on the person who was detained.

At approx 5:00 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 blk of Prescott Road. A male victim was located and pronounced deceased on the scene. One individual has been detained. This is an ongoing investigation.
