MEMPHIS, Tenn. — UPDATE 7/12/2021: Memphis Police have charged 18-year-old Jonathan Anguiano with First Degree Murder, two counts of Especially Aggravated Robbery, and Aggravated Assault.
According to the police affidavit, one victim told police he was leaving King's Liquors when a man approached with a gun and said "Give me your d**n keys and wallet." After giving both to the suspect, the victim said the guy shot him anyway, and the victim ran.
According to the report, the clerk Ricky Grayson heard the shots, and video shows him go to the front of the store with a gun in his hand and yell at the suspect. Police said the video shows the suspect shoot Grayson, who fell to the ground when struck, but also returned fire while lying on the ground. Police said the video showed the suspect standing over Grayson and shooting him, then taking his wallet and gun. The suspect took off in a silver Ford Expedition, stolen from the scene.
According to the affidavit, officers responded to a possible DUI that afternoon at the Walgreens in the 4600 block of Summer Avenue. They said the found the Expedition, damaged, in the back of the business, with Jonathan Anguiano slumped over the wheel and bleeding from his knee. During a search, police said they found guns and ammo and cash.
Anguiano is being held without bond. He is due in court July 12.

7/10/2021 - Memphis Police are investigating a deadly shooting Saturday morning along Lamar Avenue.
Officers responded to the shooting in the 4000 block of Lamar Avenue about 11:30 a.m. They found one person dead at the scene and a second victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition. Investigators have not said what led to the shooting.
