MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Four theft suspects are facing charges after leading police on a chase that ended in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday night in East Memphis.

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) responded to a robbery call Monday, Nov. 6, around 10:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Nelson Avenue, where two armed suspects took a Nissan Rogue car.

The next night, officers found the same car in the area of Getwell Road and Kimball Avenue around 9:30 p.m., according to MPD.

They tried to stop the Nissan, but the occupants drove off, starting a police chase.

Two suspects ran from the car in the 600 block of Marianna Street, but officers caught them.

MPD said the driver and a passenger in the Nissan Rogue continued to drive away from police until they crashed into two other vehicles at Park Avenue and Highland Street. An officer involved in the chase also hit a car while trying to avoid the crash.

The driver and passenger of the Nissan Rogue were then taken into custody. None of the suspects nor the officer were taken to the hospital for injuries.

MPD said the following people were charged:

Nineteen-year-old Nicholas Marshall was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000.

Nineteen-year-old Keishun Scott was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000 and evading arrest on foot. He also had warrants for soliciting attempted first degree murder (3X), reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon (6X), aggravated assault (2X), and failure to appear in a misdemeanor case.

Eighteen-year-old Armando Avila was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000 and evading arrest.

Eighteen-year-old Donya Williams was charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000, evading arrest, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

MPD said while officers were working the crash scene, they found two clear baggies containing fentanyl and cocaine inside a Toyota driven by 36-year-old Seairra Franklin. She was taken to St. Francis Hospital in non-critical condition due to the crash.

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell (2X).
