MEMPHIS, Tenn. — U.S. Marshals have captured a second suspect in a deadly 2023 shooting that was caught on camera.

Marshals said Tyler Jones was found about 10 a.m. Aug. 21, 2024, at a home in the 2600 block of Maverick in Memphis. They said he was taken into custody without incident. Jones is now in the Shelby County Jail with a bond of $1,000,000.

Marshals said a second fugitive wanted for domestic assault was also taken into custody at the same location.

Investigators said Jones was indicted for first-degree murder in the July 23, 2023, shooting that killed D’Aaron Gordon. Gordon was found shot on a front porch in the 900 block of McNeil St. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Marshals said Jones was one of three suspects seen on video firing shots and running from the scene.
