MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis Police have released surveillance pictures of the suspects in a shooting at an auto shop in Frayser earlier this month.
MPD officers responded to the shooting about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at the Tire Shop of Memphis in the 2500 block of N. Watkins. Investigators found James Washington Jr. shot. He died at the scene.
Investigators said they learned two men in hoodies had approached Washington and fired several times, killing him.
One suspect was carrying an AR-style rifle and the other had a handgun.
MPD said the shooters left the scene in a four-door blue Chevrolet Impala with damage to the passenger side rear panel.
