MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police said a shooting on along I-240 left a person hurt Thursday morning.
MPD officers responded to the shooting about 1:15 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024. The victim told investigators he was driving on I240 near S Parkway E, approaching Exit 28B when he heard several shots, and his vehicle was struck.
The man told police he kept driving and got off the interstate, stopping at S Parkway E and College St. to call 911.
Investigators said the man had been shot in the left arm. He was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.
The victim told police he did not see who fired the shots. Police said they weren't able to find a crime scene.
