Man found critically injured at Love's gas station after shooting

The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting Thursday, May 30, shortly after 11 p.m. in the 3300 block of Lamar Avenue at the Love's gas station.

Shooting investigation underway at Love’s Truck Stop on Lamar Avenue

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is seriously hurt after officers responded to a shooting call late Thursday night at a gas station on Lamar Avenue.

The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting May 30, 2024, shortly after 11 p.m. in the 3300 block of Lamar Avenue at the Love's gas station.

Investigators said the shooting possibly happened at Getwell Road and American Way. Police previously said a suspect was in custody, but later stated that there was no suspect information.

This incident happened one week after a shooting left a man dead and another person injured at the same gas station on May 24.
