MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old was arrested Monday for a deadly March shooting on 4480 Millbranch, according to U.S. Marshals.
Memphis Police Department (MPD) officers said they responded shortly before 6 p.m. on March 25, 2024, to find the victim, Rozelle White, who was taken to Regional One in critical condition.
White later died from his injuries, according to MPD.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), their investigation led to the arrest of Demetrio Ceballos, 18, whose warrant for first degree murder and aggravated assault was issued on Sept. 27.
The Memphis Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Team began searching for Ceballos, and their investigation led to Ceballos’ location in Atlanta, Georgia.
On Nov. 18, the the USMS Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) located Ceballos in Atlanta and took him into custody without incident.
Ceballos is awaiting extradition back to Shelby County, according to U.S. Marshals.
