MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is injured after a shooting happened late Thursday night in South Memphis.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting June 20, 2024, around 11:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Lauderdale Street, where officers found a man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to police, the victim told officers he had been sitting in a chair when another man came and fired at him. The suspect then drove off in a white vehicle.
The victim was taken to Regional One Health in critical condition, police said.
