MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There have been multiple separate shootings starting on Saturday in the city of Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Officers said they responded to the 3500 block of Debby shortly after midnight. One man was transported to critical condition in Regional One, according to MPD.

MPD said another shooting took place in the 1400 block of Alta Vista. Officers said they responded shortly before 5 a.m.
Officers said they responded around 5 a.m. and found a woman that was dead on the scene. The known male shooter was detained, according to MPD.
This is an ongoing investigation, according to MPD.
A shooting also took place in the 2800 block of Green Terrace Drive, according to MPD. Officers said they responded shortly after 1 p.m. to find one man who was dead on the scene, MPD said.
There is no suspect information released by MPD as of press time.

Another shooting took place in the 1700 block of Dearing, according to MPD. Officers said they responded around 3:30 p.m. and that two victims were transported to critical condition at Regional One.
A third victim was found at 2959 Atmore and was dead on the scene, according to MPD. Two men got away wearing black ski masks, MPD said.
