Memphis Police investigating multiple weekend shootings

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There have been multiple separate shootings starting on Friday in the city of Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Memphis Police said they responded towards 5 p.m. Friday to 3755 Ironwood Drive. One woman was transported to Regional One in critical condition, according to MPD.

This is an ongoing investigation and the suspect is known by the victim, according to MPD.

MPD said another shooting took place in the 2500 block of Kimball Avenue. MPD said they responded towards 9 p.m. on Friday night to find one man that was transported to critical condition at Regional One.

There is no suspect information available from MPD about this incident as of press time.

MPD said a shooting also took place in the 5300 block of Scottsdale Avenue toward 9 p.m. on Friday night.
