Woman seriously injured after interstate shooting near Lamar Avenue

Memphis Police responded to the shooting Monday just before 5 a.m. on I-240 near Lamar Avenue.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is seriously injured after getting shot on the interstate near Lamar Avenue early Monday morning.

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) responded to the shooting Oct. 23 just before 5 a.m. on I-240 near Lamar Avenue, where officers found the woman hurt.

She was taken to Regional One Health in critical condition.

MPD said the suspect was riding a gold Mercury sedan.
