MEMPHIS, Tenn — A 14-year-old boy has been found Wednesday morning after an apartment shooting in Frayser left his brother injured.
The Memphis Police Department issued the City Watch alert just before 3 a.m. on June 19, 2024. Investigators said the teen had went missing after his brother was injured in a shooting on Pershing Park Drive and taken to Regional One Health.
Investigators said officers responded to an aggravated assault call Tuesday, June 18, around 9:30 p.m., receiving a call that someone had been shot. When they arrived, they did not find a victim, but later learned the victim had been taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. He had been shot four times in the thighs, according to police.
Officers learned the victim's brother — the 14-year-old — was missing and released a City Watch alert.
Around 9:30 a.m. on June 19, police said the boy had been found safe.
While investigating, officers found several spent shell casings and were told that a vehicle had been struck.
