Thieves hit gaming store on Union Avenue

Memphis Police responded to the burglary just before 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Thieves broke into the Game X Change store Tuesday in Midtown, getting away with multiple items. 

The Memphis Police Department responded to the burglary just before 2 a.m. at 1997 Union Avenue. 

Camera footage showed a man breaking a glass panel and yanking open the sliding gate around 1:30 a.m. to get into the store. Seven other suspects then followed. 

Police said over $6,000 worth of items were stolen. The thieves also took cash from a register. 

The man was possibly driving a black SUV, according to police.
