The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said they executed a search after receiving a cyber tip regarding child sexual abuse material being purchased via social media.

COVINGTON, Tenn. — The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office has charged and arrested a man accused of selling child sexually abusive material over the internet on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024.

Detectives with the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said they searched a home on Jamestown Rd., after receiving a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding child sexual abuse material being purchased via social media.

During their investigation, detectives identified 22-year-old Noah N. Norris as the owner of the “device” that posted the explicit material. Multiple electronics were taken from the home to be examined for additional CSAM , according to the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office.

Norris was arrested and is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. He has been released, after posting a $25,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear back in court on Nov.15.

“Once again, we are confronted with a disturbing reality: a child predator lurks in the shadows of technology, confident that their heinous acts will remain unnoticed. I urge all members of our community to remain vigilant in monitoring their children’s online activities. I extend my deepest appreciation to our dedicated detectives and ICAC affiliates for their exemplary work in ensuring the safety of our children." said Sheriff Shannon Beasley.
