Three charged in deadly shooting at Tunica County apartment complex

ROBINSONVILLE, Miss — Two Tunica County men have been charged with murdering a man at Kirby Estates Apartments in Robinsonville, Mississippi, early in September.

Thirty year-old Tanio Hall and 32-year-old Jarvis Grant are charged with murder and conspiracy for involvement in the death of 38-year-old Vandarren McCray, who was shot multiple times and killed on 2669 Kirby Road Monday, Sept. 2, 2024.

Tavion Crutchfield of Louisiana was also charged with conspiracy as well as accessory after the fact.

Deputies with the Tunica County Sheriff's Office arrived to the scene after a call just before 8 p.m. and found Vandarren with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead.

A search warrant was served Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024 at the Kirby Estates apartment where Hall and Grant were arrested and taken into custody according to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office.

Hall and Crutchfield have outstanding warrants in Texas and Louisiana respectively.
