University of Memphis student carjacked on campus, according to UofM Police Services

A student told the university four masked men with guns approached them and demanded their car.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — According to the University of Memphis, a student reported they were carjacked by four men with guns on Thursday night.

At 7:47 p.m., a student reported they were approached while parked on the street, and they said four masked men with guns pulled up in a blue sedan and took a silver 2019 Hyundai, according to an alert from UofM Police Services.

The university said the suspects were last seen west on Southern Ave. from Patterson.
