Wanted: Suspects caught on camera robbing Taco Bell drive-thru

Memphis Police said the suspects also demanded money at gunpoint from a customer in the drive-thru line.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are searching for three crooks caught on camera robbing a Taco Bell drive-thru.

MPD investigators said the robbery happened Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, at the Taco Bell in the 2700 block of Perkins. Officers said it began when a woman was placing an order at the drive-thru and pulled up to the window. When she opened the window, police said a man opened the rear door of her SUV and demanded money at gunpoint. Police said the woman then took off running from the area.

At that point, police said the armed robber then jumped through the drive-thru window with the gun, grabbing money from the register, then handing it to a passenger outside.

Investigators said the three suspects were the main man seen on the video wearing a camo hoodie with a black bubble coat, another man in a black hoodie, and a woman who was driving the suspect’s vehicle.

Business Robbery Taco Bell 2702 Perkins Report #2310029963ME MEMPHIS, TN - On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, three suspects robbed the Taco Bell at 2702 Perkins at gunpoint. A woman who was driving a silver Infiniti SUV placed an order at the drive-thru and then pulled around to the window. As the victim opened the window, a man opened the rear door armed with a handgun and demanded money, at which time the victim ran from the drive-thru area. The man jumped through the window and began grabbing money from the register. As you see in the video, the suspect was handing the money to another backseat passenger (suspect #2). Suspect #1: Man, late teens to early 20s, 5’4", thin build, wearing a camo hoodie, black bubble coat, pink sunglasses, gloves, armed with a black handgun. Suspect #2: Black man wearing a black hoodie. Suspect #3: Woman who was the driver. No arrests have been made at this point.
