Watch: Memphis Police searching for carjacking suspects caught on camera

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have released video of a carjacking in Raleigh, and they are hoping someone might recognize the suspects.

MPD officers responded to the carjacking at the BP gas station in the 4100 block of Yale Rd. about 11:15 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024. The victim was getting into his white 2019 Dodge Charger when four suspects got out of a blue Kia Optima.

Video shows the suspects carjacking the victim at gunpoint. Police said one suspect got into the driver’s seat and took off in the Charger, followed by the other suspects in the Kia. The Charger was recovered later in the 2700 block of Watkins Rd. at another gas station.

Investigators said the Kia had been reported stolen May 2. They said the suspects all appeared between 18 and 20-years-old.

Carjacking BP Gas Station 4101 Yale Road Report #2405024332ME MEMPHIS, TN - On Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a carjacking at 4101 Yale Road. Officers were advised that the victim was about to enter his white 2019 Dodge Charger when four unknown suspects exited a blue Kia Optima. They were armed with guns and carjacked him at gunpoint for his vehicle. One of the suspects got into the driver seat of the victim’s vehicle and drove it away from the scene, followed by other suspects in a blue Kia Optima. The blue Kia Optima was reported stolen out of Appling Farms Station on May 2, 2024 (2405020487ME). The victim’s vehicle was recovered at 2723 Watkins Road at the BP Gas Station. Suspect #1 was a Black male, 18-20 years old, 5'6” to 5'9”, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans. He was armed with a black handgun. Suspect #2 was a Black male, 18-20 years old, 5'6” to 5'10”, wearing a black hoodie, a blue surgical mask, black jeans, and multi-colored shoes. He was armed with two handguns. Suspect #3 was a Black male, 18-20 years old, 5'7” to 5'10”, wearing a gray hoodie, blue surgical mask, and black jeans. He was armed with a black handgun. Suspect #4 was a Black male, 18-20 years old, 5'7” to 5'10”, wearing a white t-shirt, a brown mask, and black jeans. He was armed with a black handgun. No arrests have been made.
