MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now dead after being shot at a Parkway Village gas station during one of the final days of 2023, and Memphis Police released video of the now-deadly shooting Tuesday.
Memphis Police said they responded to the shooting around 3:51 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2023, after a man was dropped off at Methodist Hospital South by private car, suffering from gunshot wounds. MPD said he later died.
During the investigation, Memphis Police said the shooting happened at a gas station in the 2700 block of Getwell Road. The victim and three other men were in a white Infiniti sedan at one of the pumps, when the driver pulled the car up besides a silver Toyota.
The front passenger in the car got out and jumped inside the Toyota, before speeding off along with the Infiniti.
That's when police said a man walked outside of the gas station, firing several shots at the Infiniti, and hitting the man in the back seat. You can watch video of the incident below:

MEMPHIS, TN – On December 30, 2023, at approximately 3:51 a.m., officers responded to 1300 Wesley Drive at Methodist South Hospital, where a victim was dropped off by a private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. During the investigation, it was determined that the shooting occurred in the 2700 Block of Getwell Road. The victim and three other males were occupying a white 2008 Infiniti G35 bearing Tennessee tag 9DP9451. The driver of the Infiniti G35 pulled up beside a silver Toyota that was left running at the gas pump. The front passenger of the Infiniti exited the vehicle and entered the driver's side of the Toyota, leaving the scene. A white Infiniti followed behind the Toyota. The owner of the Toyota exited the store, firing several shots at the Infiniti, striking the backseat passenger.
The suspect was a Black male with a medium complexion, wearing a dark-colored jacket, a white hat turned to the back, blue jeans, and a black flip-flop with white socks.
No arrest has been made. This is an ongoing investigation. The video and photos are attached.
