Macon-Hall Elementary celebrates graduating 5th graders with drive-thru ceremony

The community celebrated the students Tuesday.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Several young students were celebrated Tuesday as they prepare to move up from elementary to middle school.

Macon-Hall Elementary held a drive-thru ceremony for its nearly 220 graduating fifth graders. Parents and the nearby community cheered for the graduates as they rode around the front of the school.

Each child also received a keepsake medal and a cookie treat.
