MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Crosstown Concourse and Live Nation are joining together for a new live music venue in Midtown Memphis.
Construction of the new venue is set to begin this winter at the corner of Autumn Ave. and Claybrook St., across from the Crosstown parking garage.
Accoprding to a news release, the 35,000 sq. ft. venue will seat 1,300 and be operated by Live Nation. They expect to host 100 events each year.
The release said the venue will create more than 150 permanent jobs with a base pay starting at $20 an hour.
“Pairing the thoughtfully designed venue with Crosstown Concourse’s convenient location, ample parking, variety of food and beverage options and amenities will create an unforgettable entertainment experience for Memphians and regional visitors,” said Todd Richardson, President/CEO of Crosstown Concourse.
“The new venue will be a unique addition to the city and bring even more exciting shows to Memphis,” said Grant Lyman, President of Live Nation Southeast.
Officials said not only will the venue host concerts, but comedy shows, community events, corporate meetings, and more.
