CNN Newsource – The TV series American Crime Story will return for a third season, this time focusing on the Bill Clinton – Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Producer Ryan Murphy has talked about tackling this topic in the past. He said he’d only do it with participation from Lewinsky. She ultimately agreed and will serve as a producer on Impeachment: American Crime Story.
Lewinsky plans to stay behind the camera while Beanie Feldstein portrays her on-screen. Sarah Paulson is set to play Linda Tripp, while Annaleigh Ashford plays Paula Jones. The actor tapped to portray President Clinton has not been announced.
The series has taken on the O.J. Simpson case and Gianni Versace’s murder in past seasons. both won Emmys and Golden Globes for best limited series.
The new season goes into production in February and is scheduled to begin airing September 27th of next year on the FX television network.
