MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Friday, many remembered the life of former Memphis TV news anchor, Donna Davis.
Friends, family, and fans showed up to her visitation at Joe Ford Funeral Home on Winchester. Davis died unexpectedly at the age of 47 Sunday night. The cause of her death remains unknown.
Donna served on various community organizations and she was a board member of the California Institute of Contemporary Art.
“She had a wonderful, sweet, loving, giving, nurturing spirit that you felt from, I think the time she walked in the room. Something about that smile,” said Medora Smith, Donna Davis cousin through marriage.
“She had such a following, I mean anytime we were out, of course everyone recognized her, tell her how great she was, they just really, really loved her,” said Nina Watts, a friend of Donna Davis for 30 plus years.
Davis’ funeral is Saturday at 11a.m. at New Growth in Christ Church on East Shelby Drive.
