If you’re a fan of the performing arts you won’t have to get all dressed up for the whole formal theatre experience.
You’ll soon be able to take a seat in the Grove.
The Germantown Performing Arts Center will break ground on the new 12-hundred seat outdoor venue this fall.
The performance space will be right next to the existing G-PAC building with a stage as large as the one inside featuring a 32 foot wide dextronic screen simulcasting performances on the indoor G-PAC stage to audiences outside.
Once complete you’ll also be able to enjoy live performances and movies under the stars.
Plans call for the “First Tennessee Plaza” right off the Grove featuring a full bar and restaurant along with food trucks.
“We’re keeping as many trees as we possibly can because the shade that happens with all the surrounding trees is absolute magic,” said Paul Chandler of G-PAC.
Tru Green Lawn Care will be working to make the Grove even more comfortable for audiences.
The project is expected to cost $4-million and open next summer.
