A total of 30 firefighter personnel were on a scene in southeastern Shelby County Friday, according to the Shelby County Fire Department.
Shelby County Fire said they went to a fire shortly before 3 p.m. after reports of a fire being on a covered patio in a two-story apartment building. Firefighters reportedly entered the home to control the fire and to search for people.
Within 34 minutes, the fire was under control, affording to the Shelby County Fire Department.
There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters, they said. The cause has not been disclosed by the fire department as of press time.
On social media, the fire department thanked the SCFD Firefighters of the 14th and 22nd Battalion on C-Shift.
They also thanked the Germantown Fire Department for helping them.
"These firefighting crews worked quickly to bring this fire under control by an aggressive fire attack," the post read.
Additionally, Shelby County fire thanked "the 1400-2200 hours shift of the SCFD 911 Communications Office" as they "relayed critical information to crews on-scene as well as worked additional emergency calls during this incident."
