Suspect of armed robbery at Taco Bell took entire cash register, Memphis police say

Police encourage anyone with additional information related to these incidents to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-2274 (CASH) with tips.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — Memphis police have released a video of a burglary that took place at the Taco Bell at 6210 Winchester Road. 

Officers said that they responded at about 1:30 a.m. after a man in a silver Infiniti SUV pointed a gun through the drive-through window, demanding money.

The victim, who had opened the register to hand the suspect change, then ran from the window, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD). 

The suspect then reached through the drive-through window and took the entire register from the Taco Bell, according to MPD.

The first suspect is described by MPD as being in his mid-20s with a goatie, black hoodie and gray pants.

Another suspect was a passenger of the Infiniti SUV, according to MPD.

No arrest has been made and this remains an ongoing investigation, according to MPD.

A male in a silver Infiniti SUV pulled up to the drive-thru window to pay for an order. As the victim opened the register and handed the suspect change, the male pointed a handgun at the victim, demanding money. The victim ran from the window, and the suspect reached through the window, taking the whole register. Suspect #1 was a Black male in his mid-20s with a goatee, black hoodie, and gray pants. Suspect #2 was an unknown male passenger. No arrests have been made at this point. This is an ongoing investigation. A video is attached, and the photos are in the comments.
