The City of Memphis is hosting another Dumpster Day this Saturday

This "Dumpster Days District Cleanups" session will take place Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Agricenter International at 7777 Walnut Grove Rd.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — In an attempt to clean the streets of litter and illegal dumping, the City of Memphis is hosting another Dumpster Day Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024.

With this program, Memphis residents can use a dumpster to declutter and dispose of trash for free.

This "Dumpster Days District Cleanups" session will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Agricenter International at 7777 Walnut Grove Rd. Enter from Smythe Farm Rd. off Germantown Pkwy.

Residents can use this to get rid of trash in their homes or yards, but the City of Memphis Public Works Division is aiming for residents to help clean illegal dumping from the streets in their neighborhoods.

Bring your ID as proof of residency.

Some items cannot be disposed in the dumpster including:

  • Fuel Tanks/Drums
  • Motor Oil
  • Hazardous/Toxic Waste
  • Paint/Paint Thinner
  • Anti-freeze
  • Pool Chemicals
  • Commercial Waste
  • Pesticides/Herbicides
  • Batteries
  • Liquids of Any Kind
  • Animal Carcasses
  • Tires with Rims

Please note: No Commercial Haulers, Contractors, or U-Hauls. Single-axle trailers only.
