MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis doctor has proposed plans for developing a new building on Beale Street.
The new location would be developed on 500 Beale St., according to the site plan filed by Memphis doctor Olugbenga Adebanjo. The planned site would have spaces for offices, stores and apartments, according to the site plan.
The site plan review describes the potential building as an eight-story mixed-use building with basement-level parking. 82 parking spaces will be provided at the basement level, and the ground level will make up around 14,000 square feet of commercial space, a residential lobby and 18 parking spaces, according to the letter of intent.
The letter also says a landscaped plaza will be provided at the ground level, creating an active courtyard between the street, commercial space and residential lobby.
Dr. Olugbenga Adebanjo is the founder and CEO of GoodLife Medical Center, and he has been leading the organization for almost 20 years. He said he believes the project will "add to the improvement of the district and meet both residential and commercial needs of the area."
