Man injured — but not shot — after shooting call on Beale Street, Memphis police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One man was found injured after police were called to Beale Street early Saturday morning, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD). 

Officers said they responded to a call that there had been a shooting in the 300 block of Beale Street but found a man who had not been shot. 

Still, MPD said this man had been assaulted.

He was transported to Regional One in critical condition, according to MPD. There is no suspect information that MPD could share as of press time.

The location that police were called to is near Tin Roof and Wet Willie's.
