Nick Fitzgerald ran for a career-high 258 yards and two touchdowns and also threw three touchdown passes to lead Mississippi State over Ole Miss 55-20 in Saturday’s Egg Bowl.
Mississippi State (5-7, 3-5 SEC) has won five of eight Egg Bowls under head coach Dan Mullen.
Ole Miss (5-7, 2-6) freshman quarterback Shea Patterson made his first start in Oxford. He threw for 320 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
