MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A person is in the hospital after a car crash Sunday night caused a power outage to occur in Raleigh.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said the crash happened shortly before midnight on Oct. 15 at Coleman Road and Egypt Central Road, where a person had lost control of a vehicle while speeding and hit a Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) pole, knocking out the power in the area.
SCSO said the driver was treated at the scene and taken to Methodist North Hospital in non-critical condition.
