MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A car crashed into a pole and caught on fire overnight in Midtown.
Memphis Police responded to the crash around 1 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, on Poplar Avenue near North Bingham Street.
Dispatch said there no reports of injuries.
In the area, Memphis, Light, Gas and Water's (MLGW) outage map showed that nearly 800 were without power around 2 a.m. in the area of the crash. That number decreased to 171 when checked around 5 a.m., with an estimated repair time set for 8:30 a.m.
