Local media personality Thaddeus Matthews says he was attacked Thursday night on the driveway of his home, and it was caught on camera.
Matthews says the video shows him returning to his Hickory Hill home about 10:20 p.m. Thursday. He got out of his car to open his garage, then went back to the driver’s seat. That’s when a man runs up. Matthews says the man put the gun in his face and told him to lay on the ground, but Matthews refused.
A second person came up behind his truck that was already parked in the driveway. Matthews says he and the first man started struggling, and the second guy started firing shots. Matthews says the guy fired four times, then the guys took off. Matthews says he was yelling the whole time. He says the guys did not ask for money, and did not try to take his car, which was running during the whole encounter.
We reached out to Memphis Police, who have not responded to our request for information about the incident.
