MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Christmas and New Year's Day are just around the corner, and the City of Memphis is making changes to your garbage collection schedule during the holidays.
No trash will be picked up on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
The city released the following collection schedule for the week of Christmas:
- If your trash collection day is Monday or Tuesday, your trash will be picked up on Monday, Dec. 23.
- If your trash collection is on Wednesday or Thursday, it will be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 26.
Those served by Team Waste will have a one-day delay on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Friday, Dec. 27. The contractor will not collect trash on Christmas Day.
Trash will not be collected on New Year's Day. Collection for that day will be moved to Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
