The city of Memphis is looking to breathe new life into the old Melrose High School building.
The building has stood empty in orange mound for about 40 years. The community has repeatedly demanded the city do something.
This week Mayor Jim Strickland announced the city will “re-active” the building next month or a series of events. The city hopes the attention will attract potential developers.
The events will take place at the school October 26th through the 28th.
